For the length of your retreat, programme or gathering, Stone Oven House is yours alone: the rooms, the shared spaces, the terraces and the land around them.
Private use means no other guests and no other programme. Your group decides how the days run — when to work and when to rest, when to cook together or sit around the fire. We are close by when you want us, and out of the way when you do not.
This is not a hotel buy-out, and the house is not a blank venue. It is a restored stone farmstead in Rorà with a long history, an artist residency and a cultural life of its own. Your group becomes part of that for the days you are here.

Looking for the guest rooms only? That is The Entire House, booked through the normal booking flow. The Entire Property is different: private use of the wider setting, arranged with you in person.
On the property itself there are three guest rooms — the Double Room, the Mountain Suite and the Private Apartment — each with its own character, shown on the room pages. For larger groups they are combined with additional nearby accommodation; more on that below.
For living and working together there is the Stone Hall, with its old stone walls and timber floor, suited to workshops, talks, screenings and concerts; the Hayloft, an open wooden loft above the valley; and the shared Bar & Kitchen, where a group can cook, eat and talk. Projection and sound equipment, musical instruments and art materials are available on site.
Outside there are terraces, a stone fire pit, a wood-fired sauna with a cold tub, a garden and around two hectares of land with forest paths and quiet places to sit. The art studios and exhibition spaces belong to the house too, and can be part of your programme where it fits.
If you would like it, we can help with meals — cooked together in the shared kitchen, hosted at the table or arranged with local producers — and with the wood-fired sauna, transfers, visits to farms and workshops in the valley, or a creative or cultural programme built around your theme.
None of this is automatic, and none of it is required. Tell us what you need, and we will say what we can offer ourselves, what we would arrange with local partners, and what each would add.
When it suits the project, the hosts take part: introducing the house and its history, opening the art spaces, or lighting the stone oven for an evening.
Planning and capacity
From intimate residential programmes to gatherings of around 70–80 people, each use of the property is planned individually. Accommodation, meals and the programme can be arranged around the needs of the group.
The right number depends on the format, the programme, the set-up and the spaces you use. Accommodation is arranged separately: depending on the size and format of the gathering, we can combine rooms on the property with additional nearby accommodation.

Pricing depends on group size, dates and the spaces included. We do not publish a standard rate for private use, and nothing is charged when you send an enquiry.
