TERMS & CONDITIONS – Stone Oven Stay

Stone Oven Stay is operated by Sergei Balovin in Val Pellice, Italy.
Accommodation is offered under the affittacamere framework (lodging without VAT).
Certain artistic and creative experiences may be provided as part of the owner’s independent professional activity.
Some cultural events may be organized in cooperation with the Stone Oven House Association (SOH), a registered non-profit cultural entity.
These three frameworks are legally distinct.
By submitting a booking request, staying with us, or participating in any activity, guests agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Legal Structure & Transparency
Stone Oven Stay operates within three independent legal frameworks:
1) Accommodation (Affittacamere – no VAT)
Lodging is provided under the Italian affittacamere system.
Accommodation fees cover lodging only and do not include food service, wellness services, or regulated touristic activities.
2) Creative Experiences by Sergei Balovin (Commercial Activity)
Some experiences — such as the Artist’s Table Experience, Studio Time, Creative Workshops, Found-Object Treasure Hunts, or Mountain Walks & Creative Breaks — are provided through the owner’s independent professional activity.
3) Cultural Activities by the Stone Oven House Association (Non-Profit)
Exhibitions, open studios, artistic gatherings, or collaborative events may be organized by the non-profit association SOH.
Participation may require membership or an associative contribution.
Guests will always be informed under which framework an activity falls.

Booking Requests & Confirmation
2.1. Submitting a request through our website — including the experience calculator — does not constitute a booking.
2.2. All requests are reviewed manually.
We will contact you to confirm dates, availability, number of guests, and preferences.
2.3. A booking becomes valid only after we send the final proposal and you accept it in writing.
2.4. Prices shown on the website or generated by the calculator are indicative and may vary depending on season, availability, external professionals involved, or specific requests.

Experience Calculator & Estimated Budget
3.1. The calculator provides a non-binding estimated budget for selected experiences.
3.2. This estimate is not:
• a booking
• a contract
• a final price
• an invoice
• a commercial offer
3.3. The final price will be communicated manually after reviewing your request.
3.4. Some activities may be arranged independently by guests using the contacts we provide.
Any associated costs depend entirely on external providers.

Experiences & Activities
Stone Oven Stay offers artistic, cultural, and recreational experiences such as:
Artist’s Table Experience, sauna, yoga sessions, creative workshops, studio time, mountain walks, creative picnics, visits to farmers and producers, introductions to winemakers, and artist studio visits.
4.1. These experiences are recreational, cultural, or artistic, and are not wellness treatments, guided tours, or regulated professional services.
4.2. Activities involving external professionals (yoga teachers, caterers, winemakers, farmers, guides) are delivered solely by those providers.
Stone Oven Stay is not responsible for their performance, qualifications, or compliance.
4.3. Activities organized in cooperation with SOH follow non-profit regulations and may require membership or associative contributions.
4.4. Guests may choose to arrange certain activities independently using the recommendations we provide.

Food, Shared Meals & Cooking
5.1. Stone Oven Stay does not provide restaurant services, catering, or public food service.
5.2. Shared meals (picnics, wood-fired pizza gatherings, Artist’s Table Experience) are informal, collaborative moments, where food is prepared together with guests.
5.3. Guests prepare and consume food at their own responsibility, including allergies and dietary restrictions.
5.4. Professional catering may be arranged only via licensed external partners.

Sauna (Association-Owned Facility)
6.1. The sauna belongs to the Stone Oven House Association (SOH) and may be used only within the framework of associative activities.
6.2. Guests may access the sauna in one of the following ways:
• by becoming a member of the association, or
• by making a “contributo per la partecipazione all’attività associativa – uso sauna” (contribution for the associative activity of sauna use).
6.3. Sauna access is not a commercial service and is not included in accommodation fees.
6.4. Use of the sauna is voluntary and at the guest’s own risk.
Guests with health conditions should consult a doctor before use.
Children must be supervised at all times.
6.5. Stone Oven Stay and SOH are not responsible for:
• injuries caused by heat, cold, steam, or slippery surfaces
• improper use
• any health issues arising from sauna use

Wellness & Physical Activities
7.1. Yoga sessions are led by invited teachers or external practitioners.
Stone Oven Stay provides the space and coordination but does not assume responsibility for the instructors’ qualifications, methods, or experience.
Yoga is recreational and not a medical or therapeutic service.
7.2. Guests participate voluntarily and assume full responsibility for their physical condition.

Studio Time & Creative Work
8.1. Guests may use the studio for independent work or participate in optional guided sessions.
8.2. Materials are provided only when explicitly stated.
8.3. Stone Oven Stay does not guarantee artistic outcomes.
8.4. Informal presentations of guest work may be arranged upon request.

Travel, Transport & External Locations
9.1. Travel to farmers, markets, winemakers, artist studios, or other external locations may be carried out independently by guests or as shared transport with the hosts when routes coincide.
Such shared transport is not a commercial transportation service and is not offered on a professional basis.
Guests choose to participate at their own discretion and assume full responsibility for their safety and any risks involved.
9.2. Stone Oven Stay is not responsible for:
• road conditions
• transport arrangements
• parking
• accidents or injuries occurring during travel
• cancellations or changes by external providers
9.3. Purchases from external providers are direct transactions between the guest and the provider.

Liability, Assumption of Risk & Guest Responsibility
10.1. Participation in all activities is voluntary.
Activities may involve natural risks (terrain, weather, heat, cold, physical exertion).
10.2. Guests assume full personal responsibility for their safety, decisions, health, and belongings.
10.3. Stone Oven Stay is not liable for:
• accidents or injuries
• allergic reactions or food issues
• lost or damaged personal items
• misuse of spaces or equipment
• outcomes of creative activities
• performance of external partners
• weather conditions or natural events
10.4. We reserve the right to refuse participation if safety concerns arise.

Force Majeure
Stone Oven Stay is not responsible for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by events outside our control (weather, illness, natural events, government restrictions).

Payments & Refunds
12.1. Payments for accommodation and creative experiences are issued under the owner’s professional activity.
12.2. Payments related to activities organized by SOH follow non-profit rules and may require membership or associative contributions.
12.3. Deposits, if requested, may be non-refundable unless otherwise specified.

Privacy & Data Protection
We follow GDPR regulations.
Personal data is used solely for communication related to the stay and activities selected.
We share data only when necessary to coordinate with external professionals involved in requested activities.
